By determining what is important to you, and what you feel you need experience in, we will set goals that will define your work experience at Canterbury. We will sit down every 4 months to reevaluate these goals. There will be daily conversations about the happenings of our department, we will involve you in all aspects of our department and then ask for feedback on how we can improve. There will be questionnaires throughout the year based on items you should be learning. We will then go over those to ensure you are gaining the knowledge that is vital to your career. Canterbury Golf Club has hosted 14 major championships throughout its history including the US Open, Sr. US Open, PGA Championship, Sr. PGA Championship, and the US Amateur. Canterbury is currently ranked #58 by Golfweek in their rankings of the top 100 classic courses. From August 30th - Sept 2nd we will host the second round of the web.com tour championship. The tournament will feature 1-75 on the Web.Com Tour money list and 126-200 on the PGA Tour FedEx Cup point list. These 150 golfers are all playing for 25 PGA tour cards to guarantee them a spot on the PGA tour the following year. 2016 was our inaugural year of hosting this event won by Bryson DeChambeau, and Nicholas Lindheim won in 2017. We've recently completed a total bunker renovation, along with ongoing projects including tree removal, drainage, creek bank restoration, and tee leveling/construction. |
